4. FIRST AID MEASURES
Eyes: Immediately flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Skin: Irritation is unlikely. However if irritation does occur, take off all contaminated clothing.
Wash
contaminated area with soapy warm water. Get medical advice if irritation develops or persists.
Wash
contaminated clothing and clean shoes before reuse.
Inhalation: Remove to fresh air. If not breathing, give artificial respiration, preferable mouth to mouth. If
breathing is laboured, give oxygen and contact poison information centre immediately. Symptoms of
pulmonary oedema (fluid in lungs) can be delayed up to 48 hours.
Eyes: Immediately flush with water for 15 minutes. Seek medical attention if irritation persists.
Ingestion: Consult a physician immediately. DO NOT induce vomiting. Give a glass of water to drink. If
vomiting occurs, aspiration into the lungs may cause lung damage. Never give anything by mouth to an
unconscious person.
Advice to Doctor: Treat symptomatically.

5. FIRE FIGHTING MEASURES
Flash Point: Does not burn
Auto-ignition Temperature: Does not burn
Lower Explosive Limit: Does not burn
Upper Explosive Limit: Does not burn
Suitable Extinguishing Media:
Use dry powder, carbon dioxide or foam.
Protective Equipment for Fire Fighting:
Wear self-contained breathing apparatus and protective clothing to prevent contact with skin and eyes.
Unusual Fire and Explosion Hazards:
No fire or explosion hazard exists. Fire decomposition products are likely to be toxic and corrosive if
inhaled. Take appropriate protective measures.
6. ACCIDENTAL RELEASE MEASURES
Contain spill. Do not allow into drains or waterways. Block off drains and dam the spillage area.
Provide sufficient ventilation. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including gloves and safety
glasses and additionally a respirator if vapours or mist build up. Floor may be slippery. Do not breathe vapour.
Take up with absorbent material (e.g. sand, vermiculite, or commercially available inorganic absorbent).
DO NOT use saw dust. Fill into marked, sealable containers for disposal. Dispose of empty containers in accordance with federal, state and local laws.
7. HANDLING AND STORAGE
Requirements:
Handling: Observe normal standards of industrial hygiene for handling chemicals. Use in a wellventilated area. Avoid breathing mists and vapour and contact with skin and eyes.
Storage: Store in tightly sealed containers. Store in a cool dry area. Keep away from fire, flame and heat.
Empty container warning: Do not reuse empty drums or containers unless professionally cleaned.
Other Precautions: Do not eat, drink or smoke when using the product.
8. EXPOSURE CONTROLS / PERSONAL PROTECTION
No special equipment is usually needed when handling small quantities. The following instructions are for conditions of regular or bulk handling situations.
Respiratory Protection: Ensure adequate ventilation to maintain airborne concentrations below the exposure limit listed in "Exposure Limit Information". If vapours, sprays and mists occur wear a respirator, and follow a respiratory protection program meeting Australian Standards AS-1715 requirements.
Eye Protection: Eye protection is not normally necessary when this product is being used. However if in doubt wear suitable protective glasses or goggles. An eye wash station and safety shower should be available in the work area.
Hand Protection: Information at hand indicates the product is not harmful to skin, but as a general precaution, wear impermeable gloves when handling chemicals e.g. Nitrile or neoprene gloves.
Engineering Controls (Ventilation): Use local exhaust ventilation sufficient to maintain exposure levels below exposure limit concentrations. Refer to Australian Standard AS-1668. Exposure limit Information TWA (mg/m3) STEL(mg/m3)

11. TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Inhalation: Short term exposure: Available data shows this product to be toxic, but symptoms are not available. Inhalable aerosol may cause nasal, throat or lung irritation. Inhalation of large amounts or breathable particles may cause pulmonary oedema (fluid in lungs). Symptoms may be modest initially, followed in hours by severe shortness of breath requiring prompt medical attention. Over-exposure may be fatal.
Long term exposure: The 4 hour inhalation ALC of the fluoropolymer active ingredient as diluted in this product is less than 17,700 mg/m3, and is classified as harmful by inhalation according to the criteria of Australian Safety and Compensation Council. The product must not be aerosolized. LC50 (Rat) of fluoropolymer active ingredient is = 0.7mg/L/4hr. Carcinogen Status: no significant ingredient is classified as carcinogenic.
Ingestion: This product is unlikely to cause any irritation problems in the short or long term.
Skin irritation: Unlikely to cause irritation. No data for long term exposure.
Eyes irritation: This product is believed to be no irritating. No data for long term eye exposure.
