Sopralene Waterproofing Membrane |

Sopralene membrane is composed of SBS modified bitumen, which is oxidized bitumen incorporated into plastic rubber. This increases the degree of elasticity by over 1000%, allows flexibility to be present at temperatures below -30
o
C, and heat resistance will exceed temperatures of 110
o
C. SBS membrane is elastomeric and can be fully bonded to the substrate. It provides superior elongation capacity and greater puncture resistance |

SBS Granules Waterproofing Membrane |

Town Hall Project: Photograph showing the roof over level 4 to the south of the tower block where Wrimco SBS Sopralene Flam Granules were applied onto a concrete screed as a single layer system. The light weight topping was first removed and the substrate prepared with Screedbond, a SBR latex mixed with cement to form a moisture vapour proof layer to ensure no blisters. The perimeters were double detailed under the stainless steel flashings.

Masonic Centre Project: The owners of the Masonic
Centre in
Sydney
became fed up with the continuing repair costs of their Nuralite asbestos bitumen roof. Their architect made extensive enquiries and chose
Wrimco SBS. Because of the many internal drains, Wrimco imported a pallet of specially made granules with a double selvedge to reduce the need to degranulate the membrane.
